The 2023 US Open is upon us, and it's going to look pretty different this year.

Novak Djokovic is back in the fold for this year's iterations after missing last year due to travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 vaccine. On the women's side, Serena Williams is on at least a hiatus from tennis and likely retired after welcoming a second daughter to the family, meaning a staple won't be playing there.

There's still plenty to watch in that bracket, however. Iga Swiatek returns as the favorite after winning the 2022 US Open, with Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff on her tail.

Carlos Alcaraz is back as the defending men's singles winner and the winner of Wimbledon earlier this year, but beating Djokovic is going to be difficult. Alcaraz was able to best him at Wimbledon, but Djokovic has won six of the last nine Grand Slams he's played in and recently prevailed in an epic final between the two in Cincinnati.

Below is the full schedule for the television broadcasts. Coverage will begin at 11 a.m. ET each day for ESPN+ and TSN.ca/the TSN App.

Novak Djokovic is back in the fold, and when he's playing, he's the favorite.

Despite being unseated by Alcaraz at Wimbledon, Djokovic enters with the shortest odds to win the US Open (+120), according to BetMGM. Coming up behind him is Alcaraz (+175), before a steep drop-off to last year's odds-on favorite Daniil Medvedev (+900).

Alcaraz and Djokovic have dominated the calendar this year, so it's no surprise to see them as such hefty favorites.

In the women's bracket, defending champ Swiatek comes in as the favorite with Sabalenka in behind her. The women's odds are slightly more balanced than the men's, but not by much. Where Swiatek sits at +250 and Sabalenka is +450, Gauff is third in odds at +750. After that, it's wide open.
