Sheridan County High School Volleyball Results: August 25

Sheridan County teams went a combined 8-6-2 on the opening weekend of the 2023 season. Sheridan: Playing at the Lander Invitational on Friday and Saturday, the Lady Broncs defeated 3A Lander 3-2

Sheridan County teams went a combined 8-6-2 on the opening weekend of the 2023 season.

Sheridan:

Playing at the Lander Invitational on Friday and Saturday, the Lady Broncs defeated 3A Lander 3-2 (22-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-21, 15-11), lost to Cody 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-17), lost to 3A Powell 3-2 (25-21, 29-27, 22-25, 19-25, 15-11) and defeated 3A Pinedale 3-2 (18-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 15-8)

Sheridan is 2-2 on the season and is next scheduled to play on Friday and Saturday, September 1st and 2nd at the Gillette Invitational (Opponents TBA).

Big Horn:

The Lady Rams placed 4th at the 12-team Douglas Invitational.

In pool play on Friday, BH defeated 3A Newcastle 2-0 (27-25, 25-18), 3A Glenrock 2-0 (25-18, 25-14), and 3A Wheatland 2-1 (12-25, 25-19, 17-15).

In bracket play on Saturday, Big Horn defeated 1A Southeast 2-0 (25-22, 25-23), lost vs. Alliance, NE 2-0 (25-16, 25-17), and then lost vs. 3A Douglas 2-1 (25-16, 24-26, 15-13)

The Lady Rams are 4-2 on the season and are next scheduled to play on Friday and Saturday, September 1st and 2nd at the Gillette Invitational (Opponents TBA).

Tongue River:

The Lady Eagles placed 3rd at the 8-team North Big Horn County Invitational at Rocky Mountain.

In pool play on Friday, TR tied Rocky Mountain 1-1 (25-22, 22-25), defeated 1A Burlington 2-0 (25-24, 25-19) and tied Worland’s JV team 1-1 (25-20, 23-25).

In bracket play on Saturday, Tongue River lost vs. 3A Lovell 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-15) and defeated Worland’s JV 3-1 (19-25, 25-11, 25-21, 25-21).

The Lady Eagles are 2-1-2 on the season and are next scheduled to play on Friday and Saturday, September 1st and 2nd at the Wind River Tournament (Opponents TBA).

Arvada-Clearmont:

The Lady Panthers dropped a 1A Northeast quadrant home match vs. Midwest 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-20).

A-C is 0-1 on the season, with an 0-1 record in the 1A Northeast, and is next scheduled to play on Thursday, August 31st at home vs. Upton, and on Saturday, September 2nd vs. Rock River (to be played at Midwest).
